When You Cannot Be Strong Anymore

She stays with you in it

The weight of being dependable

There are seasons when people praise your strength and do not see what it costs. You keep answering, arranging, comforting, coping. You are the one everyone leans on. And then one day the smallest request feels too heavy to lift.

You do not have to be strong for her

Quan Yin hears the sounds of the world: not only the polished prayers, but the crying, the sighing, the silence of someone too tired to speak.

You do not have to explain your tiredness well. You do not have to earn her presence by coping. She stays with you in it.

The vase of pure water

She is often shown pouring water from a slender vase, the nectar of compassion that cools and restores. Rest is not a reward you earn after everything else is finished. It is something she pours.

Let care move toward you too

When you are the one who remembers everything, others may think you need nothing. Let someone know. Ask for one specific thing: dinner made tonight, an hour of quiet, someone to sit with you at the appointment.

The thousand hands of Quan Yin often move through human hands. When the tiredness is deep and does not lift, let a doctor or someone close to you know. This, too, is receiving her care.

Practice

Lie down, or sit wherever your body is most at ease.

See Quan Yin standing beside you in a white robe, the vase of pure water in her hand. Let her pour it slowly over the crown of your head, cool and clear, flowing down through your whole body and carrying the weariness with it into the earth.

Say her name softly, or only think it: Quan Yin. Do not try to feel better. Let yourself be heard.

A QUESTION TO CARRY

What would you set down if you knew you were already held?

Quan Yin is arriving soon

Her sanctuary is being prepared. Until she is ready, sit with one of the goddesses who is open today and draw a card in her world.
